The general purpose of this map tab is to allow the user to look up or refine the geocoding data for location/destination of jobs.

• Open the tab. By default, no jobs will be displayed.
• Expand the Jobs accordion and click on a job row.
• From there you click on which job you want. Based on the geocoding information already available, the job pins will be displayed one of three ways. By default, the location pin/marker popup will be displayed.

• As shown above for job 1100357, the location is geocoded but the destination is not. A job pin (e.g., the blue pin) will be displayed for the geocoded address, while a Google map marker, with L for location and D for destination, will be displayed for the non-geocoded address in the center of the map.

• If the pin is geocoded, the text in the popup will indicate this, as shown above the location pin for job 1100357 above. Otherwise, it will indicate that the lack of geocoding data, as shown above the destination marker for job 11001357 above.

• Regardless of type of marker (e.g., pin for geocoded address or marker for non-geocoded address), the user can click and drag a pin to drag the marker to a new map location. If the marker is dragged, the location will be reverse-geocoded to provide the closest address as provided by Google. This is shown above, where the destination marker has been dragged.

• The user can also type in an address and click the Goto address button, to attempt manual location. In the example above, the user entered 25 ghent rd, akron, oh and clicked Goto address. The address was geocodable, so the popup displayed Address found. The resulting latitude and longitude are filled in on the Lat/Lon tab in the popup.
• Note: even if Google appears to have successfully geocoded the address, the geocoding process makes assumptions and may have returned a position that does not match expectations. Visually confirm that the position makes sense before saving.

• If a pin is dragged to generate new address and geocoding information, nothing has been changed yet. The user has to explicitly choose to update job information for the change to take effect. In the popup above, if the user does not click the Update this job with this position link, no changes will be made to the job. This allows the user to drag the pin around, test addresses through trial and error, without making permanent changes.
  
  Note: addresses are modified whether dispatch software is Tracker or DispatchDirect.

What is nice about this tab is you can move pins or balloons to get proper job address by left clicking on them and moving them to proper location. You can also type in different address in bubble. Once you change the address you click on “Update this job with this location” or “Cancel Relocation”

NOTE: Not only will map update but any changes will automatically update in Tracker
