Phone Setup Questions

  1. Ranger does not appear in my list of applications to download?
    • Check to make sure your phones phone number is in the 'My Info' Section
      1. Press the 'Menu' Key
      2. Move to 'Settings' and Select 'OK'
      3. Scroll to 'My Info' and Select 'OK'
      4. Look for 'Line 1' - This should have the number of this phone listed
      5. If not, select 'Edit' and then enter the 10-digit phone number and then 'Save'
    • Go back to 'New Purchases' and see if the Ranger Application is now available to download
  2. “Messages are not going to the phone (I can't send calls.)” What do I do?

Login/Logout

  • Why do I login?
    Login enables the driver and truck in the Ranger and Tracker system and makes them ready to take calls
  • Why do I logout?
    Logout prevents the driver and the truck from being assigned calls in the Ranger and Tracker system.
  • How do I login to the Ranger Application?
    Login will require Driver Number, a Truck Number, PIN number and the Odometer reading on the Truck. It will also require the Driver to answer a question about inspection. A company number may sometimes be required. The dispatcher will have the company number.
  • What happens if I don’t complete the Login?
    The driver and the Truck will not be available to be assigned calls from the Ranger Application.
  • What happens if I forget to Logout?
    Calls and messages will continue to be sent to the Driver/Truck.
    Your dispatcher will not be happy, as Tracker will think you are available to take calls.
  • How do I logout of the Ranger Application?
    Logout will move any open calls to “Un-assigned” if a driver does the LOGOUT process. After highlighting LOGOUT, the driver enters the ending Odometer.
