This is an old revision of the document!
It may be that the vehicle is sitting in “Pending” inventory - the panel on the right side of the browser window. You will first need to admit the vehicle into the lot in order to see it on the inventory list.
If you don't find your vehicle in pending inventory, a Lot may not have been selected as the tow destination on the Dispatch new job entry screen. You will need to go back to the dispatch board, review closed jobs for the vehicle you wish to find, then manually enter the vehicle into the lot.
A Hold on a vehicle prevents the vehicle from being released and discharged, e.g., police requested an evidence hold.
A Hold also prevents selecting a processing plan or recording payments.
With user permissions, a vehicle can be returned to inventory (which removes the processing plan end date and recalculates storage pricing based on current date).
Assuming your pricing structures for your lot(s) have been entered previously in Ranger, you can begin choosing your lot(s) as a destination from the dispatch screen, or manually enter your existing vehicle inventory, including dates/times admitted to the lot. Ranger automatically calculates storage/impound fees the same way it calculates a tow job.
Open the Inventory pane from the Lot Management left navigation pane by right clicking on “Inventory.”
PLEASE NOTE THAT IF YOUR SCREEN IS TOO NARROW, THE
BUTTON AND OTHER FUNCTIONAL BUTTONS MAY NOT BE VISIBLE. If you don't see the
button in the image below, you may need to widen this window (and the Lot Management window on your computer) to see these buttons.
