It is often easier to use an existing template to make a new one with a different pricing structure. In this case, you would give it a unique Description then “Save as new template.”

If you want to create one from “scratch”, click “Reset for new template” then choose appropriate vehicle class and service offering and give it a unique Description. Then visit each tab and input any applicable rate information for each.

• STORAGE allows for a tiered rate structure with different prices based on days in the lot. Complete each field based on how your company bills for storage, when the “clock” resets for a new day and the billing increment used.

• COMPANY STORAGE FEES are collected from the customer and disbursed to the company, e.g., a yard fee. Lien fees can also be added here as well as user defined fees, as needed.

• AGENCY STORAGE FEES may or may not be collected from the customer and disbursed to an agency.

• UNCHARGES can be added as a flat rate fee or as a percentage of storage charge or extras.

• DISCOUNTS tab can record any account-specific discounts offered to special customers.

• EXTRAS are flat rate items that must be created on each template to which they apply to be available from the vehicle pricing tab and added to the bill.

• ITEM TEMPLATES only apply to Service or Towing pricing templates and are not visible in storage pricing.

• MISCELLANEOUS tab relates Quickbooks linking and companies who charge customers for monthly statements.

It is not necessary to use every tab; Ranger has created flexibility to accommodate the most detailed rate structures for our customers.
