Extras

Extras are additional charges applicable to a storage job, such as an after-hours access fee, storage admin fee, plastic to cover a window, etc. These extras are added by the lot manager before a vehicle is discharged.

To make Extras available to select from the Lot Management Pricing detail screen, they must be first made available and added to the applicable pricing template.

  1. Go to the vertical navigation pane and open “Configuration,” “Pricing setup,” and click on Pricing Templates.
  2. See the template you want to add extras to from the Name column and click on it. Storage templates are highlighted in a light yellow color under the Existing Templates on the right-hand pane.
  3. Also note that you can reorder columns of existing templates by click-and-hold on a heading and dragging into desired position.
  4. Click on the “Extras” tab under pricing parameters.
  5. Click on the green + “Add an extra to template” and begin typing your desired item to see if it's been created. If so, select it and tab over to add a price. If it doesn't yet exist, click the other green+ “Make a new extra available” and then Add it to the template.
  6. Be sure to add the price charged for the extra for the particular template.
  7. Once all the Extras are added, click on the “Save” button in the top half of the page.

From Lot Management in RangerSST, for the MD Inside Storage pricing template, note the extras available from the Vehicle Pricing tab below exactly match those on the MD Inside Storage template above. This is because this MD Inside Storage template was selected by the lot attendant when admitting the vehicle into the lot. The Extras are attached to each storage pricing template under the “Extras” tab in pricing parameters/pricing templates.
