Before beginning to download apps, install each device’s screen protector, SD card (if used), Otterbox, and fully charge the phones and/or tablets. When devices are charged, power on the device and adjust the Security and Location settings as shown below before continuing.

1. View all the Apps and tap the Settings icon,

2. Scroll and Tap on Security, look under Security on the right side, checkbox tap “Unknown Sources” which will allow installation of non-Market apps (verbage may vary based on device and version). You will need a a Google account to install apps from the Google PlayStore.

4. Go back to Settings, just above Security tap “Location Sources” and check “Use GPS Satellites.”

5. Download the Ranger CommLink application:

  Go to Applications and tap on the Globe (or go to Internet) to get a browser window.
  Type in the following URL: [[http://www1.rangersst.com/mobile/android]], and click the orange download button.

6. After download is complete, go to the Downloads screen and select the application called “TOW2.apk” and choose “Install.”

7. After installation, choose done.

8. Please note that the Ranger App uses power and should be closed (settings/applications/running/stop) when not in use.
