Inspection items are intended to be a checklist to ensure the driver is carrying the all needed tools and the truck is in good condition to complete the shift. Truck Inspection Items are part of the log in and log out process for the drivers on the Android devices and are configurable by Ranger customer.
The list can display as many items as desired; each item has a 20-character limit. Because the list appears before and after a shift, it provides a “double check” to make sure each driver is prepared for their shift.
To configure, go to Configuration/Device setup/Truck inspection items and click on “Add item” above the column headings. To change the order each item appears on the list, click in the order column for the item and change the number order to move items up or down on the list. Smaller numbers move items higher on the list; larger numbers move items lower on the list. To delete an item, click the Delete box to the right of the item. To edit the text of an item, click in the name field and change the text.
*Please note that drivers will not see updated inspection items until their next Log in.*
