Map options configure the labels for trucks on the map and is configurable by Ranger customer.

You can choose the appearance of truck information size on the map; choose size Normal or Small.

Icon type:

• Normal trucks, which uses a Normal or Small icon
• Small symbols, which uses a “pin” instead of truck icon to prevent the overall view from appearing cluttered for large fleets

Truck label descriptors allow you to create a template of information that will appear on the truck labels for unassigned and assigned trucks.

• {directionIcon} will show which direction truck is moving
• {truckStatus} will identify whether truck is Enroute, Arrived, Hooked, Dropped, or Available using words on the map
• {TruckShortStatus} uses initials to identify status, E, A, H, D. Trucks are “available” if they have no other status step, if this option is selected.
• {truckNumber} displays truck number with status

For most companies with less than 30 trucks, Normal label size and Normal truck icons work well.

These are usually preconfigured for you; however, you can change them to your preference by choosing from drop down menu and dragging descriptors to the label template boxes.

To test your preferences, click “Save”. You will need to log out and log back in to create a new Ranger session to see your changes.
