Driver names and driver numbers must be configured in the Ranger SST Host. Driver numbers can be numbers, letters, or a combination, and should be as short as practical. Driver numbers should be familiar to both dispatchers and drivers.

Drivers login using their driver number (along with an appropriate Truck number) so that dispatchers can identify truck/driver combinations on the dispatch screen as well as on the map. Truck and driver numbers that are long may obscure visibility on the map.

If Alphanumeric Driver numbers are used, Drivers will use the Initials (optional) line (below Driver Number) when logging into the device.

To delete a driver, check the box “Delete” for the driver you wish to remove, and confirm. Please note that if a driver is deleted, his/her jobs will show up in historical reports, such as Tow Call Reports. However, name will no longer show in drop down list for driver reconciliation reports.
