New Company Set Up on Ranger Host – Full Solution

  1. Login to Ranger Admin with your user id and PW.
  2. Go to Functions/Create Company to get to the “Register” page.
  3. In the field for “Name” enter Ranger SST, but fill out the remainder of the form by pasting the customer information from Salesforce.com. Go to the “Log in” section at the bottom of the form and configure the Ranger SST Administrative user (in standard Ranger Format: CompanyTowingAdmin with password 9996663333.
  4. Note this information in the Salesforce record.
  5. As soon as you save, you’ll be instantly logged out and back at the Ranger login screen.
  6. Log in using the new Ranger Admin ID and PW you created.
  7. You will automatically go to the Connection Dashboard where you will choose the License Mode “SQUAD.” You’ll need to check the three check boxes: (1) SQUAD MCConnect, (2) SQUAD GPS, (3) SQUAD Reports
  8. Scroll to the screen bottom, add 1 license in the empty box and Save.
  9. You will automatically go to the Company billing information screen where you will type in the customer’s Credit Card Info. (If you do not yet have the credit card information, enter the number 4 and fifteen 1s as the credit card number and update when available.)
  10. Be sure to double check all the information, as this provides the billing information to Ranger’s Accountant. After saving, you should see a confirmation box: “Success added billing details.”
  11. Under Configuration/Company Info/Other settings, choose correct Time Zone and Save.
  12. Under Configuration/Company setup, choose Billing info and note the customer’s Company ID Number that the drivers will need to log in to devices the first time.
  13. Create additional log-ins for the customer for their Users with appropriate permissions.
  14. Log in with each ID created for the customer and users to make sure they work properly.
  15. Send Jason an email asking him to add the Classes and Offerings and default lists to those new customers
  16. Send email to Jim about billing arrangements, set up/one time, and billing details to add to Billing Spreadsheet.
  17. Send Information Gathering spreadsheet to customer.

  19. Set up Shifts
  20. Set up trucks and drivers
  21. Set up Job Reasons
  22. Set up Inspection Items
  23. Set up Device Messages

It’s easier to enter Items first for all accounts, e.g., Motor Clubs, then create account specific item templates, then begin making pricing templates.
