Map User Guide

This document is the User Guide for the Ranger MapDirect product.

Users are configured with roles. One of the following roles is required to gain access to the map:

• Admin
• Map
• Map only

The map is broken into four separate map tabs, across the top, designed to fulfill specific purposes

• Overall view: provide an at-a-glance view of the entire fleet.
• Map detail: provide a detailed view of one job and the assigned truck, or one truck and the assigned job.
• Address Lookup/Job Position Update: provide the ability to update the addresses on a job.
• Unassigned jobs: provide the ability to assign a truck to a job based on a geographical view and proximity.

These are sections (collapsible and expandable) that allow configuration, show company lists, etc.

• Events: a generic list of events that occur during operation of map.
• Map settings: a collection of settings that modify certain aspects of the map.
• Truck types: a list of truck types defined for the company. Clearing a text box beside a truck type will hide all trucks on the map for that truck type.
• Trucks: a list of trucks in the company.
• Jobs: a list of open jobs in the company.
