Trucks

Truck type (e.g., flatbed, wrecker) and truck numbers are used to help identify the kind of truck (by virtue of the truck icon) and which truck/driver combination is in use (by virtue of the truck number)and each driver's name and number.

Truck numbers can be numbers, letters, or a combination of numbers and letters. Truck numbers should be as short as possible so as not to obscure visibility on the map.

Truck numbers are used by the drivers to log in on their devices. Truck/driver numbers should be familiar to both dispatchers and drivers because Drivers use these to log in, and dispatchers use to identify truck/driver combinations on the map. Truck and driver numbers that are long could obscure visibility on the map.

• When only numbers are used, drivers will enter the truck number on the device.

• When alphanumeric Truck numbers are used, Drivers will enter all characters in the Initials section when logging into the device.
