-hold on a vehicle can be added for any reason, which will prevent the vehicle from being inadvertently released, e.g., police requested an evidence hold.  Note that Holds also prevent the selection of a processing plan or recording a payment (the work around would be to temporarily remove the holdrecord the paymentand put the hold back, with appropriate privileges to do so).   +Hold on a vehicle prevents the vehicle from being released and discharged, e.g., police requested an evidence hold.

+A Hold also prevents selecting a processing plan or recording payments.

+With user permissions, vehicle can be returned to inventory (which removes the processing plan end date and recalculates storage pricing based on current date).

+====== How do I Get Vehicles into a Lot? ======
 +
 +Go to Lot Management:  {{:support:07_storage-impound:inventory.png|}}
 +
+  There are two ways to get vehicles into a Lot.
 +
+  - From Dispatch Directchoose a lot as a destination from the drop down menuor
+  - Enter vehicles manually into the lot using the +New Job button in Lot Managementclick Save just as done with dispatch jobs.
 +
+Both the above methods will place vehicles into "Pending" in Lot Management.  See "Pending" on the right side pop out panel.  Once vehicles are in "Pending", you will need to complete the admit process as follows:
+  - Click on a vehicle to open job details.
+  - Complete the 4 yellow areas that are required to save a job (Code, Account, pricing template, Bill to).
 +
+If vehicle was towed to lot, you will see in Remarks section "Created from tow job xxxxxxx" which means there is a tow job linked to the storage job
 +
+  - Enter any other details that you wish
+  - Choose the correct Impound Lot if you have multiple or entered job manually
+  - SCROLL down to the bottom of the page and click the orange Save button.
+  - Confirm the Admit Time through the next dialog box and click OK.
 +
+Vehicle is now showing in Lot Inventory and impound charges are accumulating.
